Give children the key to success – READ!

My background includes teaching for 20 years.  I began by providing home day-care, then teaching in Early Childhood Centers, (Preschool 2’s,  3’s, PreK4’s, & private Kindergarten), elementary schools – a former First Grade teacher and a private Reading Tutor specialized in Reading Development for At-Risk Readers, as well as Dyslexic Lear

ners.  I’ve also worked as a Literacy Consultant training early childhood teachers ‘How to Teach Child to Read, as well as taught at the college level for nine years, teaching undergraduate child development courses as well a

s multiple literacy based courses.

The Reading Ranch came to be after years of providing literacy support out of my home for numerous aged children.  The popularity soared and expansion for the program was essential.  Throughout my experience, I found the one commonality many struggling readers lack is a strong foundation in literacy.  I then knew it was time to begin a preschool

and a transitional kindergarten that offered a quality, multi-sensory based progr

am, but also an early childhood program that offered prereading and prewriting skills for preschoolers.  Current research clearly shows that a solid foundation of early literacy skills provide children with the skills needed upon entering a traditional elementary program and can help them to become more successful students.

It gives me great pleasure to share with you The Reading Ranch’s exe

mplary program.  Our Preschool, Afterschool Tutorial Program, and Summer Enrichment camps/workshops will give your child the skills and strategies needed in becoming an independent reader and writer.  I believe it is our responsibility, as parents and teachers to motivate these precious children into becoming the best they can possibly be.  After all, the gift to read is the gift of a lifetime
